Excellent post. I shared with you that I s...Kate,<br /><br />Excellent post. I shared with you that I studied Buddhism with first a Christian Psychiatrist/who converted to Buddhism- Joe Loizzo. He now runs a place in NYC called Nalanda Institute. I also studied w/Gelek Rimpoche @ Jewel Heart in NYC. Both are excellent teachers. Gelek is Tibetan and Joe, American. If you go to www.jewelheart.org or .com, you can listen to teachings. Gelek is the "real deal". I consider myself either a jubu or budju, not sure which. I mix my Jewish understanding of life with Buddhist principles.
