A different one. The sermon was about the fact that Jesus rose fround the dead through the power of God. Blessed are those who believe.

We are to show the world Love and this love speaks for it's self.

J.PAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7239140084937897595.post-76093630722096206712007-04-29T13:58:00.000-04:002007-04-29T13:58:00.000-04:00Kate,I think you would really enjoy studying more ...Kate,

I think you would really enjoy studying more about Him. I'd start with the 4 Gospels, and then read Paul's letters.

Using Jesus to buttress your argument against war can be powerful, but only if you use the totality of information available about Him...not pick and choose only those things that support your argument and ignore that which does not.

As I always say...even when I don't totally agree with you, glad you are here!

ElizabethAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7239140084937897595.post-62207679229213769402007-04-29T13:50:00.000-04:002007-04-29T13:50:00.000-04:00Hi Kate,Your entry of "do not judge" jumped out at...Hi Kate,

Your entry of "do not judge" jumped out at me. I needed to read that. My three daughters reminded me of that yesterday. All three gently ganged up on me.

Our world is guilty of so much cruelty but the cruelty must first stop at home and as a woman I must practice kindness, patience, compassion with those close to me.

How easily I can forget when I'm hurt and angry.

All of us are responsible for our own actions and I'm glad we have our extended family to remind us be they our blood relatives or our internet families.

Thank you.

Yaya-IngAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7239140084937897595.post-58698577202298218392007-04-29T05:56:00.000-04:002007-04-29T05:56:00.000-04:00Hi Kate,You say that you are not a Christian but I...Hi Kate,

You say that you are not a Christian but I admire your love for Jesus and yes I'd say love. You have really understood what it is to be a Christian. Is it the fundalmentilist view that he is the only way that you can not accept?

J.PAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7239140084937897595.post-19430355107738873302007-04-28T19:02:00.000-04:002007-04-28T19:02:00.000-04:00Hi Christina,Wow, I'm so glad that my blog entry ...Hi Christina,

Wow, I'm so glad that my blog entry had such a good and strong effect on you. Obviously I am a pacifist too but it's only recently that I've consciously embraced it and reading some of Jesus' words have been inspirational to me. I just can't get over how extraordinary his commandment to love your enemies is and how most people do not dwell on it. I can't help but feel sad too that his words still have not struck most people's hearts. And I'm not even a Christian! But I admire Jesus and, in my way, seek to follow him too. I see him as a revolutionary in many ways and I believe that is ultimately why he was murdered. It wasn't his actions that threatened people but his words. I think I'm going to study more about Jesus. Thanks again Christina for your comment, you made me feel great.Wandererhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16550316119497369344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7239140084937897595.post-418483629650938012007-04-27T23:08:00.000-04:002007-04-27T23:08:00.000-04:00Hello Kate,Thank you for an absolutely inspiring b...Hello Kate,

Thank you for an absolutely inspiring blog entry today!

I am pacifist. Even today I would forgive the neighborhood girls who were cruel to me when I was a kid, and later, a teen. I've thought about whether I could forgive them, and the answer is yes.

Iraq was a war we could never win, and the bloodshed is just heart-wrenching. Imagine that the president and countless others actually consider themselves Christian and maybe even go to church every Sunday, and then sin on Monday.

There, too, neither I nor you can judge someone who warms a pew. Your blog entry today was one of the most beautiful I have ever read.

It so inspired me, it was like a spiritual experience.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
