I mean yours. For years I was under the illusion/DElusion that I had to treat everyone as if they were Jesus Christ, which meant that I took in all sorts of people from a pathological-liar-crack-cocaine-addict to an ex-mafia leg-breaker who wasn't past threatening me with his connections and who stole hotdogs from his butcher job then sold it to me, all unwitting. I even let a home health aide steal my pills, "knowing" it was she who had taken them, while she drove me to doctor's appointments drunk and licenseless. I only drew the line when she took my bank card and stole money from me...I dunno why psychosis drives us to permit such things, but it seems to. And we are the ones worse for the wear in the end.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
